oh yea…i picked up one a few weeks ago. the raspberry pi is a $35 all in one computer that can fit in your pocket. it has everything you need. like ethernet, 2 usb ports, video out, hdmi out, audio out. to use it, you simply load linux on a sd card, plug in a [...] i have all but given up running linux on a laptop. i’ve done it for 10 years now and i’m moving back to mac. its really hard to find high end hardware in a pc laptop these days. i really wanted a display that is higher than 1920×1080. but people just are not putting that [...] sometimes, youre incredibly lucky. and today is that day. i was able to order the new chromebook from bestbuy. it was in stock and i took a chance hoping they really had it. then about 1 hour later, it was out of stock again!! i was like i’ll prolly be on a waiting list while [...] today’s posts have been brought to you by chromeos. i have the original chromebook. i still use it alot. i think its one of googles most under-rated, unknown products. i really like the way google drive is so integrated into the os. better than mac, linux or windows if you are a big google drive [...] getting some use out of 40 CPU cores. Using 40 cores would have been a total joke when I worked at google, but now, at a small company, its a big deal. 40 cores windows 8. doing evaluation to see how suitable it is for our development environment. havent you heard?? its no longer about steve jobs….its all about steve ballmer. installing windows 8 in a virtual machine before having your first cup of coffee. this is gonna end badly.
